Curriculum

  • overcome challenges and create a personal roadmap for developing your unique style
  • understand the 5 elements of every solid photography concept and how to ensure they work harmoniously. This is where the magic happens and what separates professionals from hobbyists. Once you know the formula, your work will be forever transformed.
  • Direct models in a way that captures authentic emotion and natural moments - a great image must capture more than a beautiful face. It must tell a story and hold a vision.
  • Gain practical advice to scoring awesome locations for free, attracting an all star team for your photoshoots, gathering wardrobe, props etc.
  • Practice all your new skills during the live photoshoot portion and add incredible new images to your portfolio.
  • Head into every photoshoot feeling confident, prepared and certain that the outcome will be great.

Here's the thing...

  • You've realized photography is your passion and it's all you can think about now - welcome to the club.
  • You're getting comfortable with your camera and are maybe picking up lots of nifty tricks in Photoshop.
  • You spend tons of time planning and doing photoshoots and have a few decent images in your portfolio.

But still, YOU KNOW something is missing...

✗ You haven't nailed down your signature style - the thing that makes you stand out from the pack.

✗ You're always shooting the same type of images over and over and they're starting to feel stale.

✗ When someone asks you "what's the concept for the shoot?" you don't even know how to start planning.

✗ Directing models feels awkward and forced, you freeze up during the photoshoot and shoot the same 2 basic poses over and over.

✗ You wonder where everyone finds these cool locations while you just keep meeting your models in the park or on the street, wandering around and hoping that lightening bolt of inspiration will hit you (hint: it won't).

✗ You're getting frustrated watching other photographers build a loyal following, book cool jobs, get paid to travel etc. and you're ready for that to be you.

✗ You think buying an expensive new lens will be just what you need to finally create amazing shots - so you shell out a lot of cash only to feel the same uninspired feelings when you look at your work.

✗ So, then you try to copy your favourite photographers style but it feels inauthentic and forced (and it shows in the images)...

If this sounds like you, you're in the right place my friend

I get it. Trust me, I do. I was there when I first started out... and it totally sucked. I had no clear vision, didn't know how to plan a shoot and defaulted to photographing models in front of boring walls. Sure, the photos were pretty to look at - but there was no depth or emotion. This is all embarrassing to admit, but I'm doing it so that I can save you from making the same mistakes I did. Eventually I decided to throw everything I knew about photography out the window and designed my own system. It took me years of trial and error to get to where I am today and I've packaged everything I know into this fun, easy-going, comprehensive workshop so that you don't have to waste years figuring it out on your own.

NOW IMAGINE...

✓ you know the secret, fool-proof method to planning incredible photoshoot concepts that no other photographer will ever tell you (hint: there are 5 elements to every epic photograph - if you miss even one element the images falls flat). No more second guessing yourself - every shoot from here on out will be amazing. I promise.

✓ you know exactly what makes people emotionally connect with an image (and what makes them not give it a second glance).

✓ you are able to direct models naturally and effortlessly so every image feels emotional and alive, instead of staged and awkward. You now leave a shoot with 10x more usable images.

✓ you know exactly where to find inspiring locations beyond the basic sidewalk or the studio. No more walking around aimlessly with a model during a shoot, feeling awkward and pressured, hoping you can pull a strong image out of thin air.

✓ you have a portfolio full of cohesive images that inspire other photographers and attract your dream clients - maybe you'll be quitting your 9-5 sooner than you think?

✓ you have a loyal following of people on social media who look up to you and are dying to work with you.

✓ you actually, genuinely, 100% love your work.

Sounds pretty good right? Since implementing the strategies I'm going to share with you in the workshop:

✓ I've developed my signature photography style and I never feel like I'm copying anyone else

✓ My instagram following has grown organically by over 14,000 in less than one year

✓ I quit my full time career as an accountant to run my photography business (...is this real life?)

✓ I'm getting paid to travel and shoot (ALWAYS been a dream of mine)

✓ I never feel nervous about coming up with a photoshoot concept or directing a model because I just follow the same strategies every time (and now you can too).

But don't just take my word for it, here's what AN attendee said about the last workshop (he then went on to sign up for an ongoing mentorship with me):

The Bottom Line

If any of this is resonating with you, now is the time to do something about it. No more excuses. It doesn't matter the type of gear you have, or how long you've been shooting. It's about creating images from your heart. This is the workshop for you that will pay for itself over and over and shave years off your development. If you're ready to break out of your box and start photographing at your full potential, join me and a small group of other photographers for a night of transformation.

P.S. If you're content with your work and are happy staying at the same level, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. At all. To millions of people, photography is a therapeutic hobby. But, if your passion keeps you up at night and you want to see what you're capable of, this is the workshop for you. Generally if something feels terrifyingly exciting - it's the path you're meant to take. I'll see you there.
